We Started Teaching Because Nobody Else Was Doing It Right
Back in 2019, I kept meeting people who wanted to understand their business numbers but felt completely lost. The courses out there were either too academic or too superficial. So we built something different.
Our approach comes from fifteen years of actually working with Australian businesses—not from textbooks. We focus on what matters in real financial decisions, not memorizing formulas you'll never use.
How We Got Here
It wasn't a straight path. We made mistakes, learned from clients, and kept adjusting until we found what actually works for people learning financial analysis.
Started Small
Ran weekend workshops in Townsville for twelve local business owners. The feedback was brutally honest—and exactly what we needed. They wanted practical skills, not theory.
Rebuilt Everything
Threw out our original curriculum after realizing it was too similar to what already existed. Interviewed forty-three past students to understand what they actually used from our training. Built new content around those insights.
Where We Are Now
Teaching cohorts throughout the year with a waiting list. Our autumn 2025 program starts in March, and we're already planning improvements based on what current students are telling us.
What Makes Our Training Different
We don't follow the standard educational model. Our programs are built around what students need to do with financial information, not what's traditionally taught in finance courses.
Real Business Context
Every example comes from actual Australian businesses we've worked with. You'll analyze real profit and loss statements, not sanitized textbook cases. The numbers are messier—and that's the point.
Small Group Learning
Classes max out at sixteen people because we've found that's where conversation happens naturally. You'll work through problems together and learn from each other's questions.
Flexible Pacing
Our autumn program runs eight months because financial concepts take time to sink in. You'll have access to all materials for a year after completion—students often tell us they understand things better on the second pass through.
